Dies ist der letzte News-Eintrag auf dieser Website. Wir haben beschlossen, das Filmemachen unter dem Namen Varmint zu beenden. Nach einer kreativen Pause werden wir aber im ersten Quartal 2012 unter anderem Namen "leaves and love" wiederkommen, dann auch außerhalb des Filmemachens. Musik, Fotografie, Animation und Kurzgeschichten sind nur ein kleiner Teil dessen, was zum Filmemachen dazu kommt.
Die Website von Varmint wird weiterhin existieren, aber logischerweise nicht mehr geupdatet.
This is the last news entry on this website. We decided to quit filmmaking under the name Varmint. After a creative break, we will come back in first quarter of 2012 under a different name "leaves and love", and this time with more than filmmaking. Music, photography, animation and short stories are just a small party of what will be added to filmmaking.
Varmint's website will still exist, but of course not be updated any longer.
Unser Kurzfilm "Oberbürgermeister" läuft nun auf dem Fish-Festival Rostock, einem bundesweiten Filmfestival für junge Filmemacher, welches vom 13.-15. Mai stattfindet. Es ist unsere erste Teilnahme an einem Filmfestival, also sind wir gespannt! Hier findet ihr einen offiziellen Artikel.
Our short film "Oberbürgermeister" will be shown at the Fish Festival Rostock, a national film festival for young filmmakers, which will take place from May 13th to 15th. It is our first participation in a film festival, so we are excited! Here you find an official article (in German).
Unser neuer Kurzfilm "The One Pizza" ist jetzt online! Dieses Meisterwerk, ein trashiger Actionkracher, ist eine Art heimlich Fortsetzung zu unserem drei Jahre alten "One Man Show", aber keine Angst, es ist deutlich besser. Das ist kein Film, der einen Wettbewerb gewinnen wird, aber wir hoffen, er gefällt euch! Schaut ihn euch auf unserer Videos-Seite an!

Nach langer Zeit endlich mal wieder etwas Neues: Unser aktueller Film "The One Pizza" ist soeben fertig abgedreht worden. Worum es geht, verraten wir jetzt nicht. Der Film wird wahrscheinlich Ende April fertig sein und veröffentlicht werden.
Finally some news again: The shooting for our current short movie "The One Pizza" has just been completed. For now, we will not tell you what it is about, but we can tell you that it will probably be released at the end of April.

Die TRAGEDY Trilogie ist jetzt komplett bei YouTube anzusehen! Die ersten beiden Filme wurden komplett neu überarbeitet und als Director's Cut wiederveröffentlicht, während der Abschluss der Trilogie vollständig neu ist. Teil 1 und 3 gibt es zusätzlich in High Definition.
Die TRAGEDY Trilogie handelt vom jungen Nathan, der keine andere Lösung sieht als Selbstmord zu begehen, nachdem er erfahren hat, dass er einen bösen Tumor hat. Aber als er sich gerade von einer Brücke stürzen will, fällt er in ein klaffendes Loch von tiefer Verwirrung, Leidenschaft und Tod. Genießt die kranke Reise!

Diesen Donnerstag erscheint endlich die komplette TRAGEDY-Trilogie bei YouTube. Sie umfasst die Filme "Epiphany", "Mirror of the Past" und "Fading Away", von denen letzterer komplett neu ist. Aber auch die ersten beiden Teile wurden neu geschnitten und werden nun als Director's Cut veröffentlicht. Hier ist ein kurzer Teaser zur Trilogie.
This Thursday we will finally release the full TRAGEDY Trilogy on YouTube. It contains the movies "Epiphany", "Mirror of the Past" and "Fading Away" of which the last one is completely new. Nach der gestrigen Premiere innerhalb des 90. Borderline-Events des Medienprojekts Wuppertal ist unser neuer Film "Jonas" jetzt auch online bei YouTube zu bewundern! In dem experimentellen Drama geht es um einen jungen Mann, der scheinbar alles besitzt, was man sich für ein zufriedenes Leben wünscht. Er aber verzweifelt auf der Suche nach der Bedeutung des Lebens. Er sucht nicht etwa den Sinn seines eigenen Lebens, sondern vielmehr eine Antwort auf die Frage, was ein Menschenleben überhaupt für die Welt bedeutet. Dieser Film ist ausnahmsweise einmal nur auf Deutsch erschienen, dafür bitten wir vielmals um Verzeihung. Wir wünschen dennoch viel Spaß!
After the premiere yesterday as part of the 90th Borderline Event of Medienprojekt Wuppertal our new short "Jonas" can now be watched online on YouTube! The experimental drama deals with a young man who obviously has everything you could wish for to have a beautiful life. But he is on a desperate search for the answer what a human life means for the whole world. And this difficult question makes him forget what life is actually worth. This movie is unfortunately only available in a German version, we're really sorry for that (this will NOT happen again!). But, maybe you can have fun watching it nonetheless!

Gute Nachrichten: Endlich ist es soweit! Der Abschluss unser Trilogie über Nathan, der bisher in "Epiphany" und "Mirror of the Past" auftauchte, ist endlich in Arbeit. Nachdem das Skript anderthalb Jahre vor sich hinschlummerte, ist jetzt alles bereit dafür. "Fading Away" wird der letzte Teil heißen. Zusätzlich dazu werden wir die ersten beiden Filme komplett überarbeiten. Das Ganze ist dann im Frühjahr 2011 zu erwarten.
Good news: Finally it's on! The final chapter of our trilogy about Nathan, who already appeared in "Epiphany" and "Mirror of the Past", is now in the works. After the script was lying around for over one and a half years, now everything is ready for it. "Fading Away" will be the title of the last movie. In addition to that, we will completely re-edit and re-cut the first two movies. All this will be released in early 2011.

Da wir beide, "Feel-X" und "Cra-Z", momentan arbeitsbedingt relativ weit auseinander leben, fällt es zurzeit schwer, voranzukommen. Wir haben einen Film, der fast fertiggestellt ist, welchen wir definitiv zum nächsten Borderline Festival releasen werden. Soviel dazu! Wie es danach aussieht, ist aber noch unklar. Wir haben zwar einen genauen Plan, die entsprechende Filmidee muss aber noch ausgearbeitet werden, bevor es dann überhaupt mal ans Drehen geht, und das wird einige Weile dauern, da aufgrund der Entfernung keine perfekte Zusammenarbeit möglich ist. Wir sind daran, aber die Entwicklung läuft schleppend. Aber als Entschädigung: Wir können schonmal verraten, dass es etwas Größeres ist, dieser Film wird erstmals über die bisherigen Dimensionen hinausgehen und könnte ca. 20 Minuten dauern, vielleicht sogar länger, das wird man dann eben sehen. Wie auch immer, im Dezember kommt dann aber zuvor noch ein neuer Film, seid gespannt!
Since both of us, "Feel-X" and "Cra-Z", live far away from each other due to working issues, it is hard to get a new movie into progress. So we have one film which is nearly finished and which we will definitely release at the next Borderline Festival. So much about that! But the time after that, we don't know yet. We have a plan, but the idea for the movie has to be turned into a screenplay before we can start shooting, and this will take a while because we cannot cooperate very well because of the distance. We're working on it, but it's going slow. But: We can already tell you that it will be bigger - bigger dimensions than our previous movies, and it might take approximately 20 minutes, or even longer, we'll see. However, in December we will release our new movie before, be prepared!

Es ist soweit, der neue Varmint-Streifen ist endlich da! Und diesmal ist es etwas ganz neues: "Untitled", so der treffende Titel, ist kein Film im herkömmlichen Sinne, sondern eher ein kurzer Musikclip voller berauschender Schönheit. Gedreht haben wir auf Island, um dessen Schönheit wir auch keinen Hehl machen wollen. Der Song im Video stammt von der isländischen Postrock-Band Sigur Rós. Natürlich könnt ihr es in Full HD bewundern!
It is finally here, the new Varmint flick! And this time, it is something completely new: "Untitled", as it is titled, is no actual movie, but rather a short music clip filled with pure beauty. We shot the clip on Iceland, and we don't hide its nature. The song in the video is performed by the Icelandic Postrock band Sigur Rós. Of course you may watch it in Full HD!

Für all unsere Fans haben wir jetzt etwas ganz Besonderes!
Wir haben unseren Film "One Man Show" von 2008 komplett neu bearbeitet (es war einer unserer ersten Versuche im Filmemachen), und hier habt ihr den ersten Director's Cut eines Varmint-Films! Er ist noch immer kein guter Film, weil er immernoch auf dem gleichen Rohmaterial basiert, aber wir haben den finalen Cut so viel wie möglich verbessert - die Schießereien gekürzt, Schusseffekte eingefügt, den gesamten Look bearbeitet, den Hintergrundsound erneuert, und nicht zuletzt einen deutlich cooleren Abspann eingefügt! Wir haben zudem andere Musik verwendet, da Sony Music uns die Songs aus der originalen ersten Fassung nicht benutzen lässt. Also hoffentlich denkt ihr nicht, wir hätten den Film neu gedreht (sonst wäre er noch deutlich besser), hoffentlich seht ihr den Unterschied, hoffentlich MÖGT IHR IHN! Also viel Spaß mit dem neuen Director's Cut von "One Man Show"!
For all our fans, we now have something really special!
We completely re-edited our movie "One Man Show" from 2008 (it was one of our first tries in movie-making), and here you got the first Director's Cut of a Varmint flick! It is still not a good movie because it is still based on the same footage, but we improved the final cut as much as possible - shortening the shoot-outs, inserting gun effects, editing the whole look of it, renewed the environment sound, and last but not least adding a way cooler credits section! We also used different music because Sony Music won't let us use the songs of the original first cut. So hopefully you don't think we re-shot the movie (otherwise it would be even much better), hopefully you see the differences, hopefully YOU LIKE IT!!! So enjoy our new Director's Cut of "One Man Show"!

Er ist online! Nach der gestrigen wundervollen Premiere beim 88. Borderline-Festival in Wuppertal ist der langerwartete Fake-Trailer "Oberbürgermeister" jetzt endlich bei YouTube! Da der Film teils Englisch, teils Deutsch ist, sind englische oder deutsche Untertitel optional zuschaltbar. Viel Spaß! Die Outtakes folgen in ein paar Tagen.
It's online! After the wonderful premiere having taken place yesterday at Borderline Festival 88 in Wuppertal, the longly-awaited fake trailer "Oberbürgermeister" is now finally on YouTube! Since the film is partly English and partly German, English or German subtitles can be turned on if necessary. Have fun! Outtakes will be uploaded very soon.

Unser neuer Film "Blind vor Wut" erscheint diesen Mittwoch auf YouTube. Seid bereit! Er wird aber auch auf der großen Leinwand zu sehen sein, beim nächsten Borderline-Festival am 30. Juni, wie gehabt im Cinemaxx Wuppertal. Dort wird jedoch zusätzlich auch noch unser großes Projekt "Oberbürgermeister" seine Premiere feiern. Also: erst den neuen Film am Mittwoch im Internet gucken, dann den neuen Film im Kino mit dem nächsten Film am 30. Juni gucken, und dann geht auch irgendwann "Oberbürgermeister" online. Yeah!
Our new movie "Blinded by Rage" is coming out this Wednesday on YouTube (English subtitled version). Be prepared! It can also be watched on the big screen though, at the next Borderline Festival on June 30 at Cinemaxx Wuppertal, as before. As part of this event, our huge project "Oberbürgermeister" will also premiere there. Wie ihr sehen könnt, wurde unsere Website stilistisch rundum erneuert. Wir haben den Style komplett überarbeitet und lange gearbeitet, und jetzt ist es vorerst fertig! Wem der neue Stil nicht besser gefällt, der lügt. Wir sind übrigens voll in Arbeit mit dem Dreh zu der Rückkehr des Oberbürgermeisters. Mehr Informationen aber erst später!
As you can see, our website has been stylistically renewed. We improved the style completely and worked for a long time, and now it's done! Anyone, who does not like the new style as much as the old one, is a liar. By the way, we are fully into the shooting for the return of the Oberbürgermeister. More information later!

Nach der Premiere unseres neuen Films "Die Fuge" im Wuppertaler Cinemaxx sollte der Film eigentlich heute hochgeladen werden. Der Upload wird sich aber ein paar Tage verspäten, spätestens Ende nächster Woche sollte es jedoch soweit sein.

Ein Wallpaper sowie erste Bilder unseres neuen Films "Die Fuge" sind nun online! Über den Inhalt wollen wir nichts neues verraten, aber schaut euch einfach mal den neuen Inhalt an. Der Film wird Mittwoch wie gesagt im Cinemaxx Wuppertal uraufgeführt werden und geht dann am Donnerstag online - diesmal auch wieder in einer Version mit englischen Untertiteln!
A wallpaper and first pictures of our new film "The Fugue" are now online! We don't want to tell you anything new about the content, but just look at the new stuff. As said before, the film will premiere at Cinemaxx Wuppertal on Wednesday and then be uploaded on YouTube on Thursday - this time also in a second version with English subtitles!

Endlich wieder haben wir mal neue News! Wir haben mal nichts verraten, aber sehr sehr bald wird es wieder einen neuen Film geben - und zwar wieder im Kino! Auch diesmal wurde er mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Wuppertaler Medienprojekts produziert und wird bei der kommenden "Borderline"-Veranstaltung aufgeführt werden. Diese findet am 28. April um 19:30 im Cinemaxx Wuppertal statt. In dem noch namenlosen Film geht es um einen Blinden... Und direkt noch eine kleine Nachricht: Cra-Z hat sich des weiteren an einem Projekt des Wuppertaler Medienprojekts mit dem Namen "Wuppertal kackt ab" beteiligt (also kein Varmint-Film) und spielt dort die Hauptrolle. Das Video mit dem Namen "Der Masterplan" gibt es in YouTube zu sehen (siehe unten)!
Finally we have a few news for you! We didn't tell you anything before, but there will be a new movie very very soon - in theatre again! It was once again supported by the "Wuppertaler Medienprojekt" and will premiere at the next "Borderline" event. It will take place on April 28th at 7.30pm at Cinemaxx Wuppertal. In the still nameless movie you will find an interesting story about a blind guy... And another small information: Cra-Z has taken part in a project of the "Wuppertaler Medienprojekt" with the name "Wuppertal kackt ab" (Wuppertal dies (vulgar expression)) (so no Varmint movie!) and plays the leading role. The clip with the name "Der Masterplan" (The Masterplan) is viewable on YouTube (scroll down)!

Nach der gestrigen sehr zufriedenstellenden Premiere im Cinemaxx Wuppertal ist unser neuer Film "NoProb" auch wie immer online bei YouTube zu bewundern. Um es nochmal kurz zu zu erläutern, er handelt von einer Agentur, die Probleme löst - Probleme jeglicher Art... Varmint Productions wünschen viel Spaß!
After a very satisfying premiere which took place yesterday night at Cinemaxx Wuppertal, you are now able to watch our new movie "NoProb" on YouTube, as always. Just to summarize the contents another time, it deals with an agency which solves problems - problems of any kind... Varmint Productions hope you'll have a good time! Varmint Productions wünscht erst einmal einen frohen Valentinstag - lebt und liebt und seid glücklich! Wir wollen nur nochmal darauf hinweisen, dass es nur noch 10 Tage bis zur Premiere unseres neuen Films "NoProb" dauert, welcher bei der 86. Borderline-Veranstaltung im Cinemaxx Wuppertal uraufgeführt wird. Der Eintritt ist kostenlos, also wer interessiert ist und nicht einen allzu weiten Weg hat, der kann doch mal vorbeischauen. Der Film wird ein paar Tage später auch wie immer bei YouTube zu sehen sein, jedoch natürlich nicht in Kinoqualität. Wir freuen uns und danken euch allen! Bis demänächst!

Varmint Productions wird nun erstmals einen Film mit der Unterstützung des städtischen Medienprojekts produzieren. Das bedeutet: professionelles Kamera- und Soundequipment, professionelle Unterstützung und nicht zuletzt professionelles Screening! Der neue Film wird natürlich auch wie immer im Internet veröffentlicht werden, jedoch wird die Premiere bei der nächsten "Borderline"-Veranstaltung am 24.02.2010 im Cinemaxx in Wuppertal stattfinden. Der Eintritt ist natürlich kostenlos. Seid gespannt!
Varmint Productions will now produce a film with support by the civic "Medienprojekt". This means: professional cameras and sound, professional support and last but not least professional screening! The new movie will of course be uploaded on Youtube as always, but the first screening will take place at the next "Borderline" event on February 24th at Cinemaxx in Wuppertal. Of course it's free. Heute ist ein ganz besonderer Tag: Varmint feiert seinen zweiten Geburtstag! Und zur Feier des Tages gibt es nun auch endlich den neuen Varmint-Film zu bewundern - Feel-X & Cra-Z return! Und zwar mit einem neuen Hip Hop-Song, der zwar ein wenig ernster, aber dennoch nicht minder ironisch angelegt ist. Passend dazu gibt es zwei Wallpapers, ab nun auch in HD, sowie das Outtake-Video. Viel Spaß!
Today is a very special day: It is Varmint's second anniversary! And as a special present the new Varmint movie is out now - Feel-X & Cra-Z return! With a new Hip Hop song which is a little more serious, but nonetheless the same ironic. Besides, two corresponding wallpapers, now also in HD, and the outtake video have been added. Enjoy!
